Thanks for your interest in the Friends of Where's George? (FOG) program!

If you are new to the FOG program ("Free Trial" people included), and have never sent a contribution, you will receive the duration of the month in which I receive your contribution as a "free partial month", regardless of what actual day I receive their contribution. So if you have January as your "Free Trial" month, and I receive your $6 contribution on February 5th, your paid FOG status will run thru the end of March (you get one partial "free" month - February, and full paid month - March).

If you are an existing FOG member in good standing, and I receive your new contribution before your current FOG status expires, you will receive full uninterrupted credit starting the next month (or whatever month your current FOG status expires). You will receive two "renewal/expire" notices during your last month of active FOG status which should help you remember to renew your FOG status before it expires.

If you are an existing/past FOG member, and I receive your contribution AFTER your current FOG status expires, (regardless of the day of the month I receive your contribution), the month in which I receive your contribution will count as your first month. So if your status expired in December, and I receive your FOG contribution on the 16th of the January, January will count as the first month, and in affect you will only be getting 2 weeks worth of FOG benefits for the first month. To help avoid this situation, you will now be receiving two "renewal/expire" notices during the last month of your current membership (one around the second week, and another near the end of the month). That should give you plenty of time to contribute again if you choose to - and to make sure your FOG status continues uninterrupted.
