GEORGE SCORE AND HOW IT WORKS
Here is the formula that is used to calculate your George Score.
Due to the square root function (SQRT in the formula) and the natural log function (LN in the formula) your George score climbs slower and slower as you add more bills and/or get more hits.
For example:
When you first start out, entering a couple hundred bills will raise your George score, and your rank, by several points and place standings. Getting hits will do the same thing. Say you have 300 bills entered with 10 hits then your GS is 478.62. By adding 100 more bills (but no hits) your George score will climb to 484.56 which is an addition of a whopping 5.94 points. Adding hits affects your score the same way. Say you have 300 bills entered with 10 hits, (your GS is 478.62). You don’t add any more bills but you receive 1 more hit. With this 1 hit your GS will climb to 487.32 for and addition of 8.70 points! You’re on a roll now! The only fly in the ointment is the SQRT (square root) and LN (natural log) functions that are incorporated in the George score formula. Lets take a look at what happens down the road when you eventually become a heavy hitter.
As you can see, the more bills that you enter, the less they raise your George score. I hate to tell you this but the hits verses GS increase works the same way.
Assume you have 5,000 bills entered.
With 500 hits GS=913.50. Add 10 hits, GS now 915.48 increase = 1.98
With 1,000 hits GS=982.72. Add 10 hits, GS now 983.71 increase = .99
With 5,000 hits GS=1143.58. Add 10 hits, GS now 1143.78 increase = .20
With 10,000 hits GS=1212.89. Add 10 hits, GS now 1212.99 increase = .10
With 20,000 hits GS=1282.20. Add 10 hits, GS now 1282.25 increase = .05
With 30,000 hits GS=1322.74. Add 10 hits, GS now 1322.77 increase = .03
If you want to increase your GS, you must enter bills and get hits. The more marked bills you enter the more hits you will get. It is as simple as that.
Days Of Inactivity.
Your days of inactivity have no effect on your REAL George score. After 5 days of inactivity your score will start to decline. If you are inactive for a long enough period of time your George score will fall to zero. Now this is not as bad as it sounds. All you need to do is log on, refresh your bills and your score will return to its former self. When you do this, it will automatically add any hits you received and any bills you entered during the days you did not refresh.
To refresh your George score, go to the YOUR BILLS page (it is on the left hand side of the main screen) and click the words YOUR BILLS. The Your Bills page will pop up and a little ways down from the top of this page you will see this line of text :
