I entered a couple of bills - 17 to be exact - in June and July 2000, had no hits, lost interest, forgot all about George. Then, on May 30th, 2003, one of those bills got a hit and now I'm hooked. My friends think I'm nuts ... No matter what shape a bill is in, I'll write on it! (One exception: a $1 bill that looked so disgusting that I put it in an envelope and took it to the bank in exchange for a clean one.)
I do have two George stamps now but I don't use them very often. Once in a while I use other stamps though. I usually write on the margins on the front of the bills only (very few exceptions), mostly in red and blue ink, sometimes I use only red or blue. During my first few months of 'real' Georging - starting in June of 2003 - I wrote in red only.
I became a Friend of Where's George? in October and wouldn't want to miss all the goodies that come with it ...

My first hit (5/30/03) was on an old style $5 bill and is still my longest sleeper. It was asleep for 2 Yrs, 319 Days, 16 Hrs, 49 Mins and traveled only 46 miles (or so we think ...)!

My first double hitter!!! After only two days, my latest CA hit bill is entered again!
And today's also my first day with two hits! (8/6/03)

My 50th hit is in Sacramento, CA. (10/5/03) It's followed by a painful 9-day dry spell. Funny enough hit #51 is on a bill that was spent together with the Sacramento hit bill but went somewhere else ... Aloha! (10/15/03)

The hit gods have been a bit cruel lately - several 5+ day dry spells. But then I didn't enter very many bills in September, maybe that's catching up with me now, who knows ...

It's picking up again!
And I got my first purple hit today, from the Bahamas!!! Three hits today in total, this is my best day of Georging so far! (11/21/03)

Came home after a 4 week trip with very limited internet access to 25 hits, 3 new states, a bunch of new counties and 1 new FRB. Also missed my 100th hit ... but hey, I don't get to Africa that often ... ;-)

It took me over a month to realize that this hit was also my last of the year, it came on New Year's Eve!

Went to my first WG meeting today (4/4/04) in Clark, NJ. There were six of us, JJ, CMgeorger, Allison, Scott in Philly, Pat and myself and we had a lot of fun. Since the cafe was much busier than expected we got some suspicious looks from nearby tables ...
