6 June 2002: My hit streak since Super Bowl Sunday comes to an end. Bummer. The streak before that was from 30 December to Super Bowl Sunday.
3 June 2002: While it's my 1210th hit overall, this bill was the 1000th bill I've entered that has had a hit!
3 May 2002: I got a Metro Transit hit! This bill that I entered while on vacation in New Orleans made it to Minneapolis on it's second hit! How cool is that?
29 April 2002: Got my first hit in Arizona!!!! Wahoo!!!! That leaves only 8 more states before I have a U.S. Bingo!!!!
24 April 2002: FRB Bingo #19!!! It has been a very very long time since I got another hit on an I bill, but it FINALLY happened!
3 April 2002: New Mexico exists! That makes state number FORTY ONE. Oh yah, and this bill should also go into the New Orleans section below.
2 April 2002: OREGON checks in! State nubmer forty is crossed off my checklist!

Since I was Kentucky based for my first two years of Georging, most of my hits are, understandably, in Kentucky. The darker the state is, the more hits I've gotten there...I have a long way to go before I get the 50 states bingo...

Here's what most of my bills have looked like lately. I'm tellin' ya, a big stamp works!
So, from 17 January to 22 January 2002, I went to the ALA MidWinter Conference in New Orleans. My first time in that city...it was amazing. Saw the first (and lewdest) parade of the Mardi Gras season. Ate at Cafe du Monde. Ate King Cake. Ate seafood. Ate pralines. Rode in a mule-drawn carriage in the fog. Watched ships going up and down the mighty Mississippi. Rode the ferry in the fog. Rode the St. Charles St. trolley car. Saw a scary woman leaning out of a "GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS" bar screeching at some guy across the street. All in all, it was a visit to a surreal planet.
Anyway, that's just a long introduction to saying that it was expensive, but I somehow don't mind cause it has translated into lots and lots of interesting hits already! Lots of the bills were entered from my apartment in Kentucky, but lots were entered at my parents' house just south of Chicago...but I know I spent them in N.O. I'm going to collect them here! Enjoy!

My very first hit in Long Island, New York! How cool! And then I got three more, in the next three minutes! The second, third, and fourth. I hope they will continue to travel together!
This is the third bill N.O. to pop up entered in. I guess I brought it back to 'Tucky with me.
I got 9 (yes, NINE) hits from the same place, where I had lunch the day before I left. The day after I got home, I got these hits. They're all the same, but here they are: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, and Nine. Phew! (Bills #2 & 3 are still travelling together, as witnessed by their second hits!)

Well, this is not technically a New Orleans bill, I suppose. This bill didn't get to the Crescent City, but I think it's one of 10 in the airport in Houston cause I was starving cause the plane was diverted to Dallas--too much fog in Houston--before continuing on to New Orleans.
New state! New State! Rhode Island makes an appearance for the first time! What intrigues me is that I had a feeling all day when the hit came through that I was due for a new state.... State #37 (plus Germany) on hit #747, my 646th bill hit!
Another bill pops up in New Orleans ! This was hit #675.
Texas day for the New Orleans bills! First is Stephenville and the second is Houston. I wonder if these bills made it to N.O. of if they were some of the 10 I spent in Houston...if they are, I've gotten really good returns on them!

I entered 31 bills while in New Orleans. With this hit, I got a 16.1% hit rate on those bills, which is as close to my overall hit rate as I think I can get. I want to see how well those 31 bills do....
This is a small collection of hits from bills that I dug out of my Poppa's wallet shortly before 2001 became 2002.
Two hits in one day! The first one made it to Glencoe, IL and fifteen minutes later, the second was reported in Chicago, even though they got the bill in Crestwood!

I went to the K-Lair for the first time in a long time the other day. I'd be willing to bet that this bill is one that I spent there and it got hit the same day!
Yes, I went to go see a movie the other day, and used an old $5 and a $1, but I didn't go see the movie noted in the note for the $1. I went to see Gosford Park (which was interesting, but not as good as I'd hoped. I think the best word for it is underdeveloped.)
I got a hot chocolate where they said they got it next...and then the bill got to Indiana, and back to Chicago!
