I've been at this for years now, but only got serious in mid-2007. I became a Friend of George too; it's pretty nice. I've gone from averaging under 50 bills a year to over 50 a day. I've gone from one to two hits per year to around nine per day. I now have my own stamps and ink pads and am certifiably insane. I've already lost one girlfriend because I spent too much time on this site...

I used to smoke cigars, fairly infrequently, even though I knew they were not good for me. What made me stop? One day I thought to myself, after a long hard day, "I really need a cigar right about now." Then I realized... I don't NEED any rolled-up tube full of tobacco for any purpose. At that point in time, I gave away all the cigars I had, and have not smoked one since. I tried smoking cigarettes... I smoked two: one to prove I could do it, and one more because I don't like odd numbers.

I also don't drink, and never have, apart from a few tiny-sized sips here and there, maybe amounting to 8 ounces, total, lifetime. Alcoholism runs rampant in my family and I have enough sense to know that it could happen to me if I let it.

I like driving and I like cars, and I have owned almost 40 cars in my life. I also like walking, though, and occasionally I walk to work, or take the furthest possible parking space so I can get some exercise in.

I used to be a computer programmer, and do all this HTML business professionally, until I realized that it was sucking my soul out slowly. So I quit, walked away from owning my own company, and went to work in fast food. I've since moved on to being a manager at a local retail chain which I won't mention, but if you find enough of my bills, I'm sure you can figure it out. I hand out stamped one and two dollar bills as change regularly, fives occasionally.

Most (over 90%) of my bills originate from Canton, NC 28716. If you have one of my bills that I entered in another ZIP code, you have a pretty rare bill! Some come from neighboring cities, some came from when I visited my best friend who lives in Colorado, and some come from Where's George gatherings in other cities, but a good amount of new ZIPs are starting to come from "ZIP trips" which are unique trips to different ZIP codes. The main point of a ZIP trip is to enter bills in a new ZIP code, then spend them in that ZIP code.
