Lance,

: 2) For me, I view all posts to turn them green anyway so that I can quickly scan back through previous pages and see what I haven't read yet. So I'm going to click on it anyway. All the SPAM alert follow-ups are just more things for me to have to click on.

I, like you, and many other Georgers do the same. I am in total agreement with you. I believe that most older Georgers are willing to make a single SPAM ALERT post.

However, I am more concerned with new Georgers and future Georgers that have not (and will not) read your excellent post.

So, I would like to make the following suggestion:

The first person to read a SPAM post and the only person to leave a SPAM ALERT post, do so in a polite and informative manner, including pertinent information in the subject line.

Example: “SPAM ALERT, the above post is SPAM. One SPAM ALERT is sufficient. Thank you very much.”
